Letโs be honest โ logistics isnโt for the faint-hearted. As a Logistics Coordinator, youโre juggling:
- Deadlines that change by the hour
- Carriers stuck in traffic or at the border
- Customers who need updates now
- Systems that freeze at the worst possible time๐ .
Pressure is part of the job โ but how you manage it is what separates burnout from growth.
Here are a few things that have helps me:

Not every delay is your fault โ weather, customs backlog, equipment failure, etc. But your responsibility is communication. Silence creates frustration. Transparency builds trust.
Your carriers, brokers, warehouse teams, and dispatchers are not just names in a system Call them by name, check in, and treat them with respect. This is because when pressure hits, those relationships often become your advantage.
Everything may feel urgent, but not everything is important.
โWhat will stop the flow if itโs not handled now?โ Start there.
Logistics is fast, but you donโt need to run at burnout speed.
Sometimes: 2 minutes of deep breathing, a glass of water, or closing your email tab for 60 secondsโฆis enough to reset your mind and respond instead of react.
Youโre learning. Youโre improving. Youโre becoming more resilient. Every tense moment teaches you how to handle the next one better.
